M.A., SOMATIC PSYCHOLOGY

Somatic life coaching for navigating stress, transitions, and self-development — rooted in research-based mindfulness and somatic practice.

Live life from the inside out

Think of it as bicep curls for the brain — personal training for your mental and emotional health.

THE APPROACH

Where mind, body, and science converge

01 - Mind

Mindfulness & Meditation

Consistent mindfulness practice measurably changes the brain by increasing grey matter in the prefrontal cortex, improving emotional regulation, and reducing anxiety over time. Together we build practices that actually stick.

02 - Body

Somatic Tools

Somatic work strengthens interoception — your ability to sense internal signals from the body. This plays a key role in nervous system regulation, emotional intelligence, and feeling at home in yourself.

03 - Life Coaching

Goals & Transitions

Whether you're navigating a career change, relationship challenge, or a quiet sense that something needs to shift — we work with what's real for you and build toward what you actually want.

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

A process built around you

  • We start with a 30-minute conversation to see if you’re a good fit. A real conversation about where you are and what you're looking for.

  • We get clear on your goals, what's blocking you, and how you work best. This shapes everything that follows. It's not one-size-fits-all.

  • 50-minute sessions combining reflection, somatic exercises, mindfulness practices, and practical tools. Sessions are available virtually.

  • Real change happens between sessions. I provide practices, resources, and check-ins to support the work you're doing in your daily life.

Halle really supported me as I navigated a big career change. I feel more confident in who I am, and also in my decision-making abilities, thanks to the tools she gave me.

ABOUT HALLE

Born and raised in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury neighborhood, I grew up surrounded by a culture of creativity, curiosity, and holistic thinking. That early exposure to diverse perspectives shaped a lifelong interest in the intersection of science, psychology, and contemplative practice.

Before my formal training, I trained in classical ballet with the San Francisco Ballet School and later competed as a track and field athlete at Cornell University. Those early experiences with movement, discipline, and performance continue to inform my sensitivity to the relationship between body awareness and emotional resilience.

I studied business at Cornell and earned a BA in Anthropology from UCLA, where I focused on evolutionary psychology. During my undergrad, I completed GRIT Life Coach training through UCLA and worked for the university for several years as a coach and facilitator. I also completed hundreds of hours of mindfulness training through the UCLA Semel Institute, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and assisted in teaching Yoga for Anxiety and Depression.

I went on to earn a master's degree in Somatic Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. My work is further informed by training as a yoga instructor and a nutrition credential through Stanford Medicine.

Outside of my professional work, I find balance through yoga, long walks with my dog Moon, and hiking along the California coast.

  • “I worked with Halle ten years ago, when I was on the pre-med track in college. She introduced me to meditation and the neuroscience behind resilience. I still remember her describing it as ‘bicep curls for your brain.’ The tools she gave me helped shape the path I’m on now as I complete my neurosurgery fellowship.”

  • "Halle is a witchy empath.

    — Amanda M.

  • "Halle has a loving and accepting presence. I felt I could share anything with her. Her knowledge and skill in mindfulness practices helped me through a difficult period of my life with more self-compassion.

    — Sophia S.

  • “I could feel how deeply Halle cared about my wellbeing. I worked with her during a painful breakup. She helped me remember how to trust myself and how to understand what’s right for me. I now get why it’s important to feel my emotions fully. I guess it's not just a cliché! I now feel like I'm living life in a way that's authentic to who I am. My relationships have benefited too!”
